Rabbit Cage In The City

When looking at a rabbit in a rabbit cage, one may think that a cage is a cruel place for such an animal to live. After all, who can think of a rabbit that has been denied the opportunity to hop around? It would seem that being stuck in a cage would be a cruel and sad way to live. Then again, when one considers that the rabbit, while stuck in a rabbit cage, never has to worry about where its next meal is coming from, nor does it have to fear predators such as coyotes, nor does it have to dodge bullets during hunting season, it might not seem all that bad.

While the rabbit does not always fit into people’s minds as a common house pet, the reality is that one does not need to live in a farm in a remote area to own a rabbit. Granted, the huge rabbit cage that is common seen on farms may be more spacious for the rabbit, but they rabbits in that type of rabbit cage will generally be stuck outside during all kinds of weather! Perhaps the most joyous life for a rabbit would be living in a huge rabbit cage inside a house, but that only exists in rabbit heaven. Then again, the rabbit can dream, can it not?

In any event, a rabbit can be a wonderful pet and it is a very well loved pet. Most people who opt for a pet rabbit are very happy that they have purchased such an animal. So, if one is considering a pet rabbit, one can look to other satisfied rabbit owners as inspiration. Next time you pass by a pet shop, hop inside and check out the rabbits. Better yet, take one home with you!
